Doctor Who - A Pond Farewell
Posted on 17:17 by mandela
I admit it, I'm a hopeless romantic, and the final scenes of the Ponds Farewell Episode really kicked me in the gut... I won't admit to tears but there were wet sleeves on my shirt at the end of the show. A big part of the couples background has been that Rory loved Amy more, at least thats what we were all supposed to wonder about. I never expected she would jump into the unknown abyss just on the slim chance they'd be reunited. Glad she did, showed that she was as dedicated to him as he was to her, which is something I always believed about her character and something I wish had been shown more often. As I said before, I really never liked that Rorys character wasn't allowed to grow much from his insecurity about her love for him. I will really miss the Amy Pond and Rory Williams character, they were a cute couple, but like all Companions they couldn't travel with the Doctor forever. Though I do believe that The Doctor grew alot during his travels with them.
